Cassandra Nova return is apparently 100% on the table, and Emma Corrin is ready to go bald again. After absolutely stealing Deadpool & Wolverine as Charles Xavier’s evil twin sister, Corrin has said they would absolutely come back to the MCU to play the bald telepathic nightmare again. This is fantastic news for anyone who enjoys chaos, finger-based brain manipulation, and villains who quote Enya.

Cassandra Nova return makes perfect sense because the character didn’t actually die. She got her fingers inside people’s heads, controlled the Void, and generally caused mayhem until Deadpool and Wolverine stopped her. But “stopped” is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. She was last seen getting yeeted into a portal, which in Marvel terms means “we’ll call you when we need you.”
Emma Corrin brought something special to this role. They described their inspiration as Gene Wilder’s Willy Wonka mixed with Christoph Waltz’s Hans Landa, which explains why Cassandra felt both whimsical and terrifying. She would compliment your jacket while literally reaching into your skull. That’s not a performance you forget, and Marvel would be foolish not to bring her back.

Cassandra Nova return could happen in multiple ways. The multiverse is wide open, so any variant is possible. She could show up in an X-Men movie as the main villain. She could cameo in Secret Wars. She could get her own Disney+ series about running a weird little kingdom in the Void. The possibilities are endless because her character is so undefined in the MCU that writers can do anything with her.
Corrin said they loved playing the villain because “it’s fun to be bad,” which is exactly the energy you want from someone who finger-gunned people’s brains into submission. The physicality of the role—the bald cap, the prosthetic fingers, the beige coat—apparently helped get into character, and Corrin is ready to zip back into that look whenever Marvel calls.
Shawn Levy, who directed Deadpool & Wolverine, has already hinted that Cassandra could return in future projects. The character is too good to waste on one movie, especially when she has such a rich comics history as Professor X’s twin. In the comics, she’s a genocidal monster who committed mutant massacres. The movie version was weirdly sympathetic, which gives future writers even more to work with.
Cassandra Nova return is the kind of casting that makes you trust Marvel again. After some questionable villain choices, they absolutely nailed this one. Bring her back. Let her cause more chaos. We deserve it.
Rewatch Deadpool & Wolverine to prepare for Cassandra Nova return and marvel at Emma Corrin’s perfectly creepy performance.
