Spider-Man: No Way Home star Tom Holland recently revealed he’s on a group chat with former Spider-Man actors Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire.

“We actually do have a WhatsApp group! Yeah! We do, yeah,” Holland said during an interview with BBC Radio 1 posted on Twitter. “I don’t know how it got set up, I don’t know how it got set up. But I saw … we bumped into Tobey at a Japanese restaurant a while ago, and I took his number.”

Holland then admitted he was the one to start the group chat, explaining, “Yeah, I set it up. I was like … ‘Guys, listen! We can’t all share each other’s numbers and not … yeah, have a group chat.’ I think I’m the only one that’s ever spoken in it.”

The actor also joked about his first text on the Spider-Man group chat saying something like, “Hey, what’s up other Spider-Mans. This is baby Spider-Man here! How’s it going?” When No Way Home co-star Zendaya chimed in to suggest he could ask the other Spideys to lunch, Holland assured her Maguire and Garfield would probably say “no.”

At another point in the conversation, Holland also detailed how a popular photo of him and Garfield embracing came to be. “You know, I don’t know Andrew that well…And I saw him at this party,” he explained. “And I was like, I have to go and say hello because we’ve shared something that so few people have shared.”

“And it’s interesting, we went out to another party after that, and I actually bumped into Tobey. Only 20 minutes later!” Holland continued. “So yeah, so we’ve just, over the last few years we’ve kind of been getting closer. And you know, obviously, one day, sharing the screen with them would be a delight. But, you know, no one believes me, but unfortunately, it’s not in this movie.”

While rumors have been swirling for months that Garfield and Maguire will reprise their roles as Spider-Man alongside Holland, Garfield has consistently denied he’ll appear in No Way Home. The rumors reached a new peak this week when Garfield made a rather specific denial about returning as Spider-Man in No Way Home, saying, “No, no, I’m not. I’m not! Crying out loud — but I’m really excited to see what they’re going to do with the next movie because I just love him.”
