Avengers: Doomsday is apparently so loaded with plot that the leaks read like someone threw a comic book encyclopedia into a blender and hit puree. The latest breakdown claims to have the entire story mapped out from start to finish, and if even half of this is real, the Russos are about to deliver the most narratively dense superhero movie ever made.
We’re talking timeline violations, multiversal incursions, family tragedies, and at least one major hero death that will absolutely break the internet into a million screaming pieces.
The central hook is surprisingly personal for a movie with this many moving parts. Doctor Doom isn’t just some random tyrant trying to conquer reality because he’s bored on a Tuesday. According to the leaks, he’s a survivor from the 31st century whose entire universe was destroyed by incursions caused by Steve Rogers messing up the timeline in Endgame.
Doom lost his wife, his children, and his face in an experiment gone horribly wrong, and now he’s hunting through the multiverse trying to rebuild what he lost. That’s not a villain origin story. That’s a grief counseling session with superpowers, a metal mask, and a serious grudge against Captain America.
The leak gets significantly wilder from there. Doom allegedly manipulates both the MCU heroes and the Fox X-Men into fighting each other, using Monica Rambeau’s disappearance as bait to start a war nobody asked for. He resurrects Scarlet Witch using Franklin Richards’ reality-warping powers because apparently death is just a suggestion in this franchise now.
He kills Thor in front of Loki during the climactic battle at Yggdrasil, which is either brilliant emotional storytelling or the most vicious fan service imaginable. And in the ultimate twist, Doctor Strange betrays the Avengers and sides with Doom because he genuinely believes it’s the only way to save reality from total annihilation. That’s a lot of emotional damage for one movie to process.
What makes these leaks feel plausible instead of completely unhinged is how they connect threads that have been dangling for years like loose shoelaces. Steve’s time heist finally has real consequences. Wanda’s death in Multiverse of Madness gets a proper follow-up instead of being ignored. Loki’s sacrifice at the end of his series actually matters beyond making people cry on their couches.
The Fox X-Men actors didn’t come back for a five-minute cameo where they nod at the camera and disappear. Doomsday is positioning itself as the film that answers every question fans have been asking since 2019, which is either incredibly ambitious or incredibly foolish. Most likely both.
The ending is supposedly the most brutal part. Doom wins. He creates Battleworld from the ashes of destroyed realities, erases everyone’s memories, and sits on a throne as the God Emperor of a patchwork universe where the rules no longer apply. The heroes lose. The villain succeeds.
And the audience has to wait an entire year to see how Secret Wars fixes the mess that Doomsday leaves behind. Doomsday isn’t just a movie. It’s a multiversal gut punch disguised as summer entertainment, and it’s coming for your emotions whether you’re ready or not.
