Dune is one of the most promising sci-fi movies of this year, and if successful we might be looking at one of the best fantasy-based movie series of the decade. It has already garnered a lot of attention due to its amazing star cast.

Jason Momoa may be the perfect person to play Duncan Idaho – the handsome swordsman from Dune who trains the leading character Paul Atreides, portrayed by Timothée Chalamet in the upcoming movie.

Speaking with Total Film for the new issue, featuring Dune on the cover, Momoa revealed how he bonded with Chalamet behind the scenes – and there was a whole lot of teasing, as well as hurt groins.

With Duncan and Paul’s relationship being so important to the story, the chemistry between Momoa and Chalamet is key to the film. Luckily, Momoa says the two bonded like brothers on the set of the film, throwing around jokes and jabs at each other.

At one point, one of those jokes led Chalamet to knee Momoa in the groin while they were filming a scene, a shot that Momoa says actually makes it into the film.

While speaking with Total Film about his time on Dune, Jason Momoa recalled how he and Timothée Chalamet had a similar dynamic in real life like their characters do, with the latter being like a “little brother” to the former.

The first trailer for Dune ignited some controversy when many felt that it wasn’t colorful or fun enough. The second trailer seemed to fight back against that controversy with more colors and several light-hearted quips

Dune recently held its star-studded London premiere. As the lead cast o the film turned up on the red carpet, everyone looked absolutely stunning, especially Zendaya and Chalamet who were certainly the highlight of the evening. Jason Momoa, Rebecca Ferguson and more also attended the event.
