MCU Heroes Ranked Now

MCU heroes ranking is impossible and I’m going to do it anyway. The current landscape is wild— we’ve got legacy characters, new blood, people who died and came back, people who came back but as variants, and whatever the heck is happening with Doctor Doom having Tony Stark’s face. But after careful consideration, here are my top three MCU heroes currently operating, based on vibes, impact, and general ability to make me feel things.

MCU heroes ranking number three: Spider-Man. Tom Holland’s Peter Parker has been through absolute hell—died in space, came back, lost his mentor, lost his identity, lost everyone who ever loved him, and still shows up to fight crime in a homemade suit. The kid has suffered more than most therapists see in a career, and he keeps going. That’s heroism. Also his web-swinging still looks incredible after all these years.

MCU heroes ranking number two: Sam Wilson as Captain America. Anthony Mackie took the shield and actually made it his own. The Brave New World movie wasn’t perfect, but Sam’s journey from sidekick to symbol is exactly the kind of character growth the MCU needs more of. He doesn’t have super serum. He just has wings, a shield, and the moral conviction to do what’s right even when it’s hard. That’s Captain America energy whether the government likes it or not.

MCU heroes ranking number one: Shang-Chi. Simu Liu’s character is the most underrated hero in the entire franchise. He has actual martial arts skills, not just CGI punches. His movie explored family trauma with more nuance than most Oscar bait. And he has the Ten Rings, which are basically the coolest weapons in the MCU. Shang-Chi brings something fresh to a universe that was getting stale—an everyman who became extraordinary through discipline and heart, not radiation or billionaire funding.

Honorable mentions go to Kate Bishop for being chaotic good personified, Moon Knight for having multiple personalities and still fighting crime, and Ms. Marvel for being the most enthusiastic hero since Spider-Man started. MCU heroes ranking is subjective, but these three represent what the franchise does best: ordinary people choosing to be extraordinary.

Stream Shang-Chi, Captain America: Brave New World, and Spider-Man: No Way Home to see my top three in action.
