Paramount Animation has unleashed the first poster for PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie, and it confirms what every parent already suspected: there is no situation, no matter how prehistoric, that cannot be solved by a team of talking puppies with specialized vehicles.

PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie | Teaser Trailer (2026 Movie)

The third theatrical installment in the inexhaustible PAW Patrol franchise sends the rescue pups to a mysterious dinosaur island, because apparently saving Adventure Bay from Mayor Humdinger’s schemes has become too routine and they needed bigger challenges.

The poster shows the PAW Patrol—Chase, Marshall, Skye, and the rest of the gang—alongside their new friend Rex, a stranded pup they meet on the island. But this isn’t just a sightseeing trip. According to the official synopsis, “Mayor Humdinger’s reckless mining triggers a volcano,” because of course it does. Humdinger has never met an environmental disaster he couldn’t cause through sheer incompetence and greed.

When the volcano erupts, the PAW Patrol must save the dinosaurs from extinction, which is ironic given that the dinosaurs already went extinct once and clearly didn’t learn their lesson about living near active volcanoes.

The voice cast is surprisingly stacked for a children’s movie about rescue dogs. Mckenna Grace—who has become the hardest-working child actor in Hollywood, appearing in everything from Ghostbusters: Afterlife to The Handmaid’s Tale—joins the ensemble alongside Paris Hilton, Jameela Jamil, and Fortune Feimster. Yes, Paris Hilton is in a PAW Patrol movie.

No, we don’t know which character she’s playing, but we desperately hope it’s a dinosaur. The cast also includes Alan Kim, Brice Gonzalez, and new voice actors for the main pups, because even animated dogs need to refresh their contracts every few films.

Director Cal Brunker returns after helming PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, bringing his signature ability to make computer-animated puppies look heroic while teaching valuable lessons about teamwork and environmental responsibility.

The animation style appears to have been upgraded for this prehistoric outing—the dinosaurs look appropriately scaly and intimidating, the volcanic landscapes are suitably dramatic, and the PAW Patrol’s vehicles have presumably been modified for dinosaur-rescue operations. One assumes there will be a T-Rex-sized version of Marshall’s fire truck.

What distinguishes The Dino Movie from other PAW Patrol adventures is the setting. While previous films kept the action contained to Adventure Bay and its immediate surroundings, this one takes the team to an uncharted island full of creatures that have been extinct for 65 million years. It’s a bold narrative choice that raises questions about how the puppies will communicate with dinosaurs—do they speak Dog, or is there a universal language of rescue that transcends species?

Either way, parents can expect at least three musical numbers, multiple lessons about friendship, and a scene where Marshall crashes his vehicle into a wall while trying to look cool.

The film arrives August 14, 2026, perfectly positioned for the end-of-summer family movie rush. By that point, children who were toddlers during the first PAW Patrol movie will be entering elementary school, ready for more sophisticated storytelling about dinosaur volcanoes.

The franchise shows no signs of slowing down—if anything, adding dinosaurs suggests that the PAW Patrol universe is expanding into Jurassic territory, opening up possibilities for future installments involving time travel, genetic engineering, or perhaps a crossover with the Ninja Turtles (they’re both owned by Nickelodeon, don’t act like you haven’t thought about it).

Answer the call—see PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie in theaters August 14, 2026, and witness the prehistoric rescue mission that will have kids everywhere asking for a dinosaur puppy of their own.
