Spaceballs The New One just got an official poster, and if you squint hard enough you can almost see the merchandising money flying through the air. Mel Brooks is back, Josh Gad is involved, and the Schwartz is officially with us again on April 23, 2027.
The sequel to Brooks’s 1987 Star Wars parody has been gestating longer than a Hutt’s digestion cycle, but MGM and Amazon finally locked in the details. Josh Greenbaum directs from a script co-written by Brooks, Gad, Benji Samit, and Dan Hernandez. The poster confirms the return of Bill Pullman as Lone Starr, Daphne Zuniga as Princess Vespa, Rick Moranis as Dark Helmet, and Brooks himself as President Skroob and Yogurt. New blood includes Lewis Pullman—yes, Bill’s actual son—playing Starburst, the offspring of Lone Starr and Vespa, plus Keke Palmer as a character named Destiny and Gad in an undisclosed role.
