The Artists Behind Gwen and Miles’ Voice

Spider-Man: Across the Spider Verse voice actors Hailee Steinfeld and Shameik Moore

The actors are challenged to ensure that the necessary emotions are portrayed without the help of body language but through their voices alone. While this may make some scenes more difficult to piece together, as we know, they were up to the challenge.

In an exclusive with Hailee Steinfeld and Shameik Moore, the voices of Gwen and Miles, Hailee reveals that she sees herself in her character and says that she has grown with Gwen.

She also says that “while this movie is different, to say the least with its unique animation styles, its emotion and spiderpeople from all walks of life helps make it a film everyone can relate to.”

As Miles himself says at the end of the first movie: “Anyone can wear the mask”. A sentiment that is perfectly portrayed by the heroes on and off the screen.

It bring Miles and all these heroes we have come to know and love to our screens and no matter what change in technology or storylines, it is these unsung people who we take for granted who are the constants.
