Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is going strong in cinemas and continue to amaze fans with its emotionally satisfying story and action scenes.

After almost a decade later of the release of first Guardians of the Galaxy movie, fans are ready to say goodbye to this franchise. It has been a wild ride, but director James Gunn always knew he was onto something special.

We have compiled the wholesome behind-the-scenes of “Guardians of the Galaxy 3.”

Bonus: We have added fun behind-the-scenes video at the end of this post, coming straight from the Guardians of Galaxy family.

The Sense Of Found Family

The concept of a “found family”—a collection of individuals who aren’t strictly connected banding together as one entity, in this instance to repeatedly save the galaxy—is one of the main themes of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies.

While spectators see this unfold over the course of three films (as well as two Avengers movies, a trip with Thor, and a holiday special), it has also been occurring in real life behind the scenes.

The Guardians of the Galaxy cast and crew have developed into a true family over the past ten years, and they are always excited to share how memorable each of their shared experiences has been.

“We truly do feel like a family offscreen. I know everyone says that, but we genuinely have that,” Karen Gillan explains to Marvel.com. “I feel so grateful because stepping into these films can be somewhat intimidating … and yet James Gunn really made the experience way less scary and brought us all together. We’ve been through a lot now, and we’ve gone through some bonding experiences. It’s lovely to have that sense of family throughout all of this.”

Gunn Is Extremely Proud At The Cast

The film’s returning writer and director, James Gunn, is immensely pleased of the cast and crew he’s put together and says that everyone is, at their core, a decent person. But if he had to single out anyone, Gunn would mention actor Chris Pratt, who has grown to be “such a good friend” to him over the years and contributed to the spirit of camaraderie on site.

Everyone must be kind if the director and the person listed as the number one on the cast sheet are kind to the staff, says Gunn. He started this series off on a positive note.

Pratt compares the entire experience to a “summer camp vibe,” when the cast and crew “vowed to send a letter every day, to text every day, to call every day” once each film was finished and shot.

Everyone just “picked right up where you left off” once back on set, despite the fact that everyone still has extremely busy lives and it can be difficult to keep in touch 24 hours a day.

The Family Of Guardians Of the Galaxy 3

The Guardians team has grown over the course of their combined half-dozen films, accepting everyone with open arms, whether they were portraying a friend or an enemy. Pom Klementieff was wary about joining an established cast when she first signed on for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

However, “everyone was so nice and so welcoming, and they welcomed me as a new member of the family, and we had such a blast working with them,” she continues. “We treated Will, Chuk, and Maria the same as the newcomers. Such a wonderful vibe prevails.

Will Poulter, Chukwudi Iwuji, and Maria Bakalova are the three newbies that make their big debuts in Vol 3 (although Bakalova’s Cosmo had an appearance in The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special), and they were all a little uneasy about joining the fray. Would the other actors warm up to them as well? According to Poulter’s joke, he had “that new kid at school feeling.”
