If you look back at Wednesday Addams’ thrilling antics, it’s clear the girl has always been the queen of unpredictable chaos. And guess what? Wednesday Part 2 is here to shake up Nevermore Academy once again on September 3, 2025. Jenna Ortega returns as the sharp-tongued, gothic sleuth dealing with darker mysteries that are literally a rude awakening.

The new trailer out of Netflix shows our beloved goth queen in her most challenging semester to date. Since that dramatic cliffhanger scene in Part 1 – where Wednesday is thrown out of a window in a brutal fight with Tyler’s manifestation of Hyde audiences could not wait to see what’s next. The answer? She’s currently in a coma, and things are just going to get paranormal.

Here’s a sneak peek at Wednesday Part II. Coming September 3. @Netflix

Wednesday Part 2 Cast Brings Star Power and Mystery

Wednesday Part 2 gathers an impressive ensemble led by star Jenna Ortega, who is herself a producer this season. Back from the original team of Nevermore are Emma Myers as werewolf roommate Enid Sinclair, Joy Sunday as Bianca Barclay, and Hunter Doohan as troubled Tyler Galpin. Returning are Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzman to play Morticia and Gomez Addams, again offering that familiar dysfunction of the Addams Family.

But everyone is buzzing with speculations surrounding the guest appearance of Lady Gaga. Authors Alfred Gough and Miles Millar described her character as “enigmatic and mysterious” who arrives as a Nevermore teacher and meets Wednesday. It was unveiled that the pop superstar was guesting when she wrapped up the Tudum ceremony of Netflix in a Wednesday-inspired performance that had everyone screaming.

New to the party are Steve Buscemi as Principal Dort, Christopher Lloyd as Professor Orloff (what a great Addams Family reunion!), and Thandiwe Newton as Dr. Fairburn. Added to the list of talent are Joanna Lumley, Haley Joel Osment, and Heather Matarazzo, to demonstrate no season is leaving anything to chance here.

Production Teases

Executive producer Tim Burton returns to reimagine this gothic classic again, retaining the style of visuals that characterized Season 1 and still make it signature. It was showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, who can be credited with Smallville, who penned eight episodes split into two halves. “Nothing is as it seems in Season 2,” added Millar. “Wednesday begins this season under the belief that she knows Nevermore, but she is mistaken.”

The show’s filming took place in various locations and constructed the atmospheric Nevermore Academy everyone loves. Once again, the hallmark Tim Burton gothic style is central, with practical effects and elaborate set designs to make each frame a Tim Burton hallucinatory vision.

Gough and Millar ensure Wednesday Part 2 will dig deeper into family interactions, otherworldly enigmas, and Wednesday’s evolving connections. Principal Weems’s comeback is again teased in the trailer as Wednesday’s “spirit guide” when Wednesday is in a coma condition, offering more otherworldly mystique.

As showrunner Miles Millar puts it: “Our aim this season was to discover new talent while inviting some acting legends we’ve long admired to join Jenna and the crew at Nevermore.” Wednesday Part 2 is coming out September 3, 2025, only on Netflix.
