James Gunn Announces New Green Lantern for DC Reboot

James Gunn is all ready to give DCU a big reboot. The director is working as co-CEO of the studios with film producer Peter Safran. The duo is planning to reimagine the whole DC universe, and the start of it will be with Superman: Legacy which will be hitting the theater in 2025.

Recently the cast of the movie is getting finalized, and the main leads are selected David Corenswet is going to be Superman a.k.a. Clark Kent, and the main leading lady of the movie will be Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane.

The anticipation of the movie is very high as this movie will be reinventing the whole DCU. Three new cast members have been finalized recently including Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, and finally the most anticipated character of Green Lantern will be Nathan Fillion. Fillion will be seen as Guy Gardner one of the Lantern Corps.

Nathan Fillion and James Gunn go way back together, the duo has worked together twice. Nathan has been part of Gunn’s first movie a horror-comedy named Slither which was released in 2006, and even his latest project Marvel’s Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3. The audience will be seeing Green Lantern on the big screen after 12 years. According to Gunn, Fillion will be the perfect version of the hero to reintroduce the audiences to the concept of the Lantern Corps once again.
