The story follows a family already fractured by marital strife when a sinister entity emerges from Bela’s closet each night asking one question: “Can I go inside your heart?” Directed by Rob Savage and written by Nathan Elston, the film adapts Josh Malerman’s novel Incidents Around the House and carries the combined producing power of James Wan’s Atomic Monster and Blumhouse.
Universal originally scheduled the film for May 8, 2026, but wisely pushed it to October 9 to capitalize on Halloween season, giving Savage’s follow-up to The Boogeyman the perfect release window.
