Even if it won’t last forever, the rest will undoubtedly last a very long time. So who knows if someone comes up with something in 10 years?

However, unlike every other Insidious film before it, there is currently no plan in place for number six.

Fans of The Further won’t be totally left in the dark, even though a sixth Insidious movie may not be on the horizon. Blumhouse announced in May 2023 that Jeremy Slater, the author of the Moon Knight, was attached to write and direct a spinoff movie named Thread.

The company also said that although the plot would take place in the same imaginary world as Insidious, the first five chapters’ story will not be repeated. Mandy Moore and Kumail Nanjiani will play a married couple who employ a powerful magic to travel back in time to save their small daughter. They succeed in unleashing a dangerous paranormal creature as a result.
