Exposed storyboards from Thor: Love and Thunder revealed a deleted scene involving Valkyrie and Lady Sif.

Storyboards by William Groebe, shared on X which was formerly Twitter, by Thor Updates, depict a deleted scene from Thor: Love and Thunder. The scene showed Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie reuniting with Jaimie Alexander’s Lady Sif during the Battle of New Asgard. In the cut scene, Valkyrie would have rescued Sif from the battle and taken her to New Asgard’s infirmary. This marked Jaimie Alexander’s return to the Thor franchise after her absence in the 2017 film, Thor: Ragnarok.

Thor: Love and Thunder, directed by Taika Waititi, occurred after the events of Avengers: Endgame. The film featured Chris Hemsworth‘s Thor team up with characters like Valkyrie, Korg starring Taika Waititi, and Jane Foster/Mighty Thor played by Natalie Portman to thwart Gorr the God Butcher starring Christian Bale, who sought to eliminate all gods from the universe. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, the movie achieved significant success, grossing over $760 million worldwide in 2022 and ranking among the year’s highest-grossing films.

Chris Hemsworth confesses to Thor 4 being silly

The reception of the movie Thor: Love and Thunder was mixed among fans, with some feeling that it was a departure from the well-received Ragnarok. A year after its release, Chris Hemsworth, who plays the superhero Thor, admitted that the film missed the mark.

It’s a bunch of eight-year-olds critiquing my film. We thought this one had too much humor, the action was cool but the VFX weren’t as good. I cringe and laugh equally at it, I think we just had too much fun. It just became too silly. It’s always hard being in the centre of it and having any real perspective. I love the process, it’s always a ride. But you just don’t know how people are going to respond,

the actor stated in June 2023.

Can we expect Thor 5?

Marvel Studios has not officially announced a fifth Thor movie, but Chris Hemsworth is open to the idea, particularly if it allows him to complete Thor’s MCU storyline. He views a fifth Thor film to be significantly different from its predecessors, especially the third and fourth installments, which embraced a more comedic approach.

I’ve said this before but when it becomes too familiar, I think there’s a risk in getting lazy then because I know what I’m doing, I don’t know if I’m even invited back, but if I was, I think it would have to be a drastically different version in tone, everything, just for my own sanity… [laughs] Thor lost his mind that last one. He’s got to figure it out now.
